Back in 2012 or 2013 I had the opportunity to attend and ATD event in our Nation’s capitol. I headed over to the National Mall one evening after the conference wrapped up for the day, but quickly saw quite a bit of crowds. Without many opportunities for unobstructed shots, I got up around 3:30am the next morning to see if I could get some photography in before the conference started back up. There were very few people out and about, I only ran into one other photographer inside the Lincoln Memorial.

This was a shot of the Washington Monument. For anyone who is around Washington DC, I highly recommend checking out the National Mall.
